ME........Beekeeping?

No classes currently scheduled this year.

Did you know there are three different types of honey bees; queen, worker bee, drone and each one has a different role to play in the hive.  To learn more click here.

Come and join us in February for a friendly class about all aspects of beekeeping.

- No previous knowledge of beekeeping necessary, just come with an open mind and some writing material.

- Classes consist of four sessions; from 9am-12 noon on Saturday's in February.

- A beekeeping course book and folder containing hand-outs will be provided.

- Various "hands-on" field trips will be offered during the year.

Need Guidance

Not sure what to do next...

Starting a new hobby can be a little daunting at first, we have all been there, which is why we are interested in offering some guidance and encouragement, as good beekeeping takes a lot of effort and not intended for the faint hearted.  We recommend you email any questions you may have using the contact us form, as that is the best way to get a hold of us.

We highly recommend new beekeepers; those needing a refresher or requiring more advanced level of knowledge, contact the University of Minnesota, as they have a full suite of classes to suit most needs. https://www.beelab.umn.edu/bee-squad/education/beekeeping-classes

We strive to be good stewards and also try to help those who are eager to learn about beekeeping with good housekeeping practices and fundamentals in our annual class.  With these tools we provide the bees with the right conditions to be healthy and prolonged life expectancy.
